Senate passes "doc fix" Medicare bill

The Senate has passed a bill that prevents doctors from receiving a 21% cut in payments for patients on Medicare. The planned cut was part of a funding formula designed to reduce Medicare costs with many suggesting such cuts would cause a lot of doctors to drop Medicare patients.. President Obama has pledged to sign the bill.
