Oregon to test pay-per-mile instead of gas tax

The state of Oregon has implemented a test program to determine if consumers would be willing to undergo pay-per-mile driving instead of a standard gas tax. Officials believe such a program would generate more revenue for state road and bridge maintenance. This summer 5000 volunteers will try the program.
